We are excited to have you visit our farm. We’d like to give you an idea about what to expect when you come, and the quality of service we offer. We have 7 acres of berries for 2011 season. We take great pride in offering a clean farm which is fully irrigated. We keep our rows covered with straw & mulch to ensure a great picking experience with no weeds and no mud, even after it rains. Our farm is set-up perfectly for the u-pick experience, but we always have already picked berries available and for sale by the quart. This way you can stop and pick up your freshly picked berries, even if you don’t have the time to pick them yourself. If you would like more than 40 quarts of berries ready to be picked up, we are happy to have them ready for you, we just ask that you call ahead and give us a 24 hours notice.
Our strawberry season starts approximately the first week of June. A normal season will last 3-4 weeks dependent on the weather. Our peak season usually falls within the middle of this time frame, and may only last 10-14 days. During our peak season, berries are extremely plentiful, and it is easy to get a quart of berries per foot of plants! Time is of the essence, so watch for email notifications from us, and start planning your trip to the farm! It is easy to miss out on the fresh berries that only come once a year. If you are not already on our email list, be sure to CONTACT US to be added.
We offer only premium berries that have the great look and taste you crave. We have three varieties of strawberries: Honeoye, Allstar, and Jewel, all three of which are excellent for freezing, canning, jams, jellies, and just eating fresh!!!
Honeoye are deep red in color, and an excellent, optimum berry for both fresh eating and freezing.
Allstar are larger, light-colored berries, which produce a glossy and firm fruit.
Jewel strawberries are a larger variety, with superb quality and flavor.
The fall raspberry season starts towards the end of August and lasts through mid October. Our raspberry plants are the premium variety, Caroline . These berries are rich, full, and intense in flavor. Simply the best raspberries on the market!
When planning a trip to the farm, call ahead for daily picking conditions and hours. When you call (734) 269-6612 you will hear our daily recording offering up to date picking conditions and any changes to our normal picking hours of 8 am to 8 pm.
Upon arrival to the farm you will be greeted by a cheerful farm member who will provide you with complimentary picking containers, and direct you back to the field parking area. Once you are ready to get picking a knowledgeable farm member will assign you your own rows for the best picking, where no one else has picked, and the berries are plentiful. Our berries are ready for eating, and we don’t mind if you sneak a few while you are picking. We do ask that you stay in your assigned rows to ensure plentiful picking for you and the next customers that come along.
After you have picked all of the berries your heart desires, you can drive back up and stop by the front to have your berries weighed. Your berries will be weighed and priced by the pound. Accepted forms of payment include cash or check.
We hope you enjoy your picking experience, and look forward to sharing our farm with you.
